Ilhaam Foodbank Rotherham Makes 1st Donation
The team at Ilhaam Foodbank Rotherham are thrilled to announce that we have made our very first food donation to the needy families of Rotherham.
We have collected and donated food the equivalent of feeding 30 people!
We have to say a massive thank you to all the generous people who kindly made a donation.
The volunteers at Ilhaam Rotherham have never done anything like this before so it’s a double celebration:
- We donated the food, and
- We stepped up and successfully did something that we’ve never done before!
We’ve started small by partnering with, Rotherham Foodbank (run by Hope Church) an established food bank in Rotherham and intend making monthly donations. Over time we’ll increase our experience and capabilities of helping the needy in Rotherham. The benefit of this approach is that whilst we’re learning we are still able to help feed the hungry.
It’s almost three months to the day that Maulana Shaykh Muhammad gave his blessings to set up Ilhaam. This is one more activity that demonstrates the community work inspired by Shaykh Muhammad.

“We feed you for the sake of Allah Almighty alone; we wish for neither reward nor gratitude from you.”
We are now even more committed about collecting food and toiletries etc ready for our next monthly donation.
