Half a tonne milestone reached
We’ve reached a major milestone. The team at Ilhaam is absolutely thrilled to be able to announce that through YOUR kindness and generosity we’ve collected and donated half a tonne of food! To be precise YOU have given 507.65Kg since February 2018. This has meant that YOU have fed and supported over 213 people. Thank you for what is an incredible achievement.
What’s even more incredible the above figures exclude the donations gathered in response to the Mexborough Appeal. For that YOU, together with seven Rotherham mosques, were able to feed over 50 FAMILIES!
This goes to show that WE have some big hearts in Rotherham and that when people are in need the generosity of our community comes to the fore! – Parveen Ghani, Ilhaam
Demand for food is growing
In his letter to Ilhaam; Stephen Prosser, Rotherham Foodbank Manager, states that food parcels distributed this year have already exceeded those provided for the whole of the last year. Unfortunately, the demand on food banks is getting bigger.
We know that you are busy and that money is tight for us all. As the winter rolls in, the team at Ilhaam, asks you to please remember those that are in real difficulties and to please continue to showing your generosity, good will and care for your fellow neighbours?
