A Successful 2nd Donation by Ilhaam Foodbank Rotherham
The good work continues at Ilhaam. From all the generous donations made by the Muslim community in Rotherham, we have managed to make a successful 2nd donation with over 72kg of food given to our partner foodbank Hope Church.
The team at Ilhaam Foodbank Rotherham would like to say a big thank you to all the people that have made contributions to this second donation. We appreciate every tin, packet of biscuits or rice that is has been generously donated.
Records were broken as the need for emergency help continues to rise…
It is always nice to get positive feedback about the work that we are doing to make a positive impact on our community here in Rotherham. Stephen Prosser, Foodbank Manager at Hope Church, wrote to us to express his thanks and to highlight the increasing need of foodbanks in Rotherham.
Stephen highlighted that in January and February, of this year, Hope Church records were broken as the need for emergency help continues to rise.
Stephen’s comments illustrate the ever increasing need for all communities to come together and support families in need with their generosity to ensure that no one goes hungry in our hometown!
